Explosions shook Doha on Tuesday. Israel claims it was an attempt to assassinate Hamas leaders. This was not Gaza. This was not Lebanon. This was Qatar, the Gulf state that has acted as a mediator in ceasefire talks and is home to Al Udeid, the largest US military base in the region.
This strike marks the first time Israel has targeted Qatar. It is an escalation that rips up international law. It shows a state acting without restraint. It shows that no Muslim capital is safe when Israel decides it is judge, jury, and executioner.
Qatar has hosted negotiations under US pressure. It has carried the role of mediator while housing the very troops that defend Washington’s interests in the region. Now its sovereignty has been violated in the most blatant way. Yet the reaction from world powers remains silence. The UN speaks of peace. Washington repeats lines of “security”. European leaders hide behind words.
Israel has bombed Gaza into ruins. It has killed thousands, most of them women and children. It has struck Lebanon, Syria, and now Qatar. The pattern is clear. It acts with total impunity, backed by its allies. International law is ignored when it comes to Israeli aggression.
Muslims must wake up. Do not be fooled by the handshakes and smiles. Do not be numbed by empty statements. An attack on Qatar is an attack on every Muslim state’s sovereignty. If Doha can be struck, then no capital in the Muslim world is secure.
The silence of Arab regimes speaks louder than words. Leaders are bound by deals, dollars, and foreign bases. They do nothing. They say nothing. Their silence is complicity.
Israel runs rampant because no one is prepared to stop it. That truth must not be hidden. It is time for Muslims across the world to open their eyes, to see who stands with justice and who hides behind false promises.
The strike in Doha is not an isolated act. It is a message. And the Muslim world must answer.
