Romanian authorities have deported an Israeli settler after stopping him at Iasi International Airport and informing him that he is subject to European Union sanctions. In a statement on Wednesday evening, the Romanian authorities said the settler landed at the airport in the city of Iasi last Thursday. He was travelling onward to the Ukrainian city of Uman to visit the grave of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, one of the spiritual leaders of Judaism. The settler, who is from the Binyamin Regional Council in the central occupied West Bank, was stopped after being told that he is under sanctions imposed by the European Union.
