Barghouti: Palestinian Authority cannot keep betting on talks rejected by Israel

Mustafa Barghouti, Secretary General of the Palestinian National Initiative, said on Monday that the Palestinian Authority cannot continue to rely on compromise solutions or negotiations that Israel rejects. In an article, Barghouti said the Oslo Accords are effectively dead, and that continuing to cling to them means remaining stuck in the past. He criticised attempts to impose what is described as “international legitimacy” and the commitments placed on the Palestinian Authority, despite Israel having, in his words, torn them up.
