Hamas condemns Rafah crossing closure, urges urgent international action

Hamas has condemned the Israeli army’s closure of the Rafah crossing and the prevention of patients and wounded people from travelling abroad for treatment, describing it as a “new crime against humanity”. In a statement received by Quds Press on Monday evening, the group said the move was carried out under “flimsy pretexts” and reflected what it called a “fascist approach” targeting the Palestinian people, as part of a systematic policy that violates international humanitarian laws and conventions, in full view of the world.
