The leader of Yemen’s Houthi movement, also known as Ansar Allah, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, said the group has entered a new phase of preparation for what he described as an “inevitable” round of conflict with the United States and Israel, either directly or through what he called “proxies.” In a speech on Thursday, al-Houthi said the conflict with Israel is “inevitable”, stressing that the United States is a direct partner in it. He accused Washington of adopting policies based on “tyranny, arrogance, generating crises and investing in them to control the peoples of the region”.
