One round of face-to-face talks between Iran and the United States has concluded in Islamabad, with the two sides now exchanging written texts on key issues under discussion, Iranian media reported. Iran’s state media IRIB, citing a source close to the negotiating team, reported another round of talks could take place later tonight or on Sunday. Expert teams from both sides are currently engaged in drafting and exchanging texts as negotiations move forward. The latest development comes after earlier confirmation that the United States, Iran and Pakistan held a trilateral face-to-face meeting in Islamabad, according to a senior White House official.
