Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani discussed with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Tuesday a proposal to establish a joint temporary shipping corridor through the Strait of Hormuz, along with a project to clear mines from the strait. The two officials discussed the latest regional developments during a phone call, according to a statement from Qatar’s Foreign Ministry.
