The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said the demolition of United Nations buildings in East Jerusalem represents the peak of a growing series of hostile actions and attacks against the agency in the occupied Palestinian territory over the past two years. Roland Friedrich, Director of UNRWA Affairs in the West Bank, said the shocking scenes of demolishing UN-owned facilities reflect an escalating campaign against the agency.
