Twenty-seven Palestinians were killed on Wednesday in several Israeli airstrikes across the besieged and destroyed Gaza Strip, according to the civil defence spokesperson. Mahmoud Basal, the spokesperson for the service, said that “27 people were killed in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip Wednesday, including 14 in Gaza City”. He said that 12 people, including three women and six children, were killed in an Israeli strike on the Zeitoun area east of Gaza City, while two others were killed in two separate strikes on the Shujaiya neighbourhood.
