At least five civilians were killed and 47 others injured Wednesday when paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) drones struck a dormitory at Kordofan University in the central Sudanese city of El-Obeid, according to the Sudan Doctors Network. The independent medical group said the initial toll from the strike stood at five dead and 47 wounded. It described the attack as part of continuing RSF attacks on civilians and civilian facilities across Sudan. The network said targeting student accommodation and educational facilities constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law and puts civilian lives at risk.
