When Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono rose to address the Arab–Islamic emergency summit in Doha last week, his words were forceful, familiar—and strangely unsatisfying. Representing President Prabowo Subianto, he condemned Israel’s 9 September airstrike on Qatar as a “gross violation of international law” and “a serious threat to regional and global peace.” He reaffirmed Indonesia’s unwavering solidarity with both Qatar and Palestine.
