The Israeli army has issued a new military order extending the closure and siege of several refugee camps in the northern West Bank as part of its ongoing intensified military operations in the area. According to the document, the Head of the Israeli Army’s Central Command in the West Bank, Major General Avi Bluth, signed the order to extend restrictions on movement in the refugee camps in Jenin, Tulkarm and Nur Shams. “The decision would take effect from 30 January 2026 and remain in force until 31st March 2026 at 11:59pm.” The military order bans any person from entering or leaving the cordoned areas of the affected camps without a special permit.
