Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on several areas in southern and eastern Lebanon on Thursday, in the latest violation of a ceasefire deal in effect since November 2024, Lebanese media reported, Anadolu reports. The state news agency NNA said an Israeli airstrike targeted the al-Wazaniyeh area near Khallat Khazem in the Jabal al-Reihan region in southern Lebanon. Lebanese media also reported an Israeli airstrike on mountainous areas surrounding the city of Hermel in eastern Lebanon’s Bekaa region. Local outlets published footage showing plumes of smoke rising from the targeted areas, while reports said Israeli aircraft continued to fly at low altitude over parts of the country following the strikes.
