Lebanon: Loyalty Bloc condemns government’s free concessions to Israel, calls for halting them

The Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc in Lebanon said on Thursday that the government had made “another slip” by describing its representative as “civilian” in the committee overseeing the mechanism related to the cessation of hostilities. In a statement issued after a regular meeting that discussed several political and parliamentary matters linked to Lebanon, Palestine and the region, the bloc said the authorities had “committed another mistake by naming a ‘civilian’ to take part in the mechanism committee responsible for supervising the cessation of hostilities, in clear contradiction even with previous official positions that tied civilian participation to a full halt of hostilities”.
