The deputy secretary-general of Islamic Jihad, Mohammed Hindy, has warned that the United States’ proposed resolution on Gaza carries serious risks and overlooks key issues for the Palestinian people. Speaking in remarks reported by Al Jazeera, he said the suggested Peace Council could become a form of legitimised occupation if its role and formation are not clearly defined.
